2006 FSAP Survey Results

On July 1, 2006 the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) celebrated 20 years of providing confidential counseling and consultation services for Syracuse University staff, faculty and their families. The FSAP staff is pleased to share data collected from a recent comprehensive client satisfaction survey.

Highlights include

In addition to completing the survey, many respondents included written comments such as the following, which we received permission to share anonymously:

"I am very thankful to this program at SU. I was able to go to a safe place and ask for help when it was important for me to have assistance through a difficult time in my life. The FSAP program and the people working there helped me feel that SU wants the best from the people that work at the University. Now I want to return the favor and give the University the best that I've got to offer. Again, thank you for all that your do!"

"The critical thing for me was feeling safe to be able to ask for help, without repercussions, and knowing the help is available to assist through life's struggles. I know I haven't been 100 percent at work while going through this difficult time in my life, but I know I will be back more than 120 percent. I am very thankful for all that you do to help us through the ebbs and tides of life."

"FSAP is an example of an enlightened business practice."

The staff at the FSAP thanks everyone who participated in this survey and looks forward to a continued commitment to provide SU staff, faculty and their families with exceptional service. For more information on the FSAP call 443-1087.
